A Sunny Outlook

On Monday I surprisingly woke up to a lawn covered in snow- So I woke up my wife to tell her, who woke up the kids to tell them, who woke up the dogs just because.

Next thing you know, it was a winter party-fest in the backyard. School was canceled, snowballs were flying, and the kids were loving it! All in the merry month of March.

This weekend, the forecast will be in stark contrast with a nice beach-like 83 degrees. What a turnaround- from snow burn to sunburn in just 5 days! That's how the weather goes in these parts I guess.

It's predictably unpredictable.

Like the weather, life can be the same way. One day you could be encountering one of life's storms when you least expect it, and the next day you could be basking in the blessings of what feels like the warm sun in paradise.

But no matter what your circumstance are, whether you are currently experiencing chaos or calm- you can trust in the fact that there is an almighty God in control. And that news, my friend, is a forecast that you can predictably bank on.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

Praise God for the days when you wake up in a blizzard and go to sleep in gentle trade winds.
