There's a Need.

My car's driver side power window broke. BUMMER. I knew what was wrong with it though, but they talked my wife into purchasing an expensive new window motor anyway. "OUCH!", said my wallet.

Not only did we spend all that money, but they didn't even fix it- 3 times they didn't fix it! We had to make a total of FOUR visits to that shop before they got it right!

Their little mistakes were turning into one BIG problem for us. All we needed was a little help, but it sure took a long while before we finally got it. Obviously, the service was so bad that we're not going back there again. And I sure ain't recommendin' them either!

Just like bad service at a mechanic shop, we are all guilty from time to time of not fully addressing the needs of those around us.

Those people that we encounter in our everyday lives are also people who have problems and are in need- of something. Maybe they need a friend. Maybe they need some encouragement. Maybe all they need is a "hello".

As followers of a merciful and loving God, let's all strive to show the love that He has commanded us to practice. Let's be proactive in identifying those around us in need.

Reach out... Make a friend... Help... Just say hi... Invite someone out for a cup of coffee... You never know, the little things that you do might just have a big impact on someone in need.

"By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." John 13:35
